Europe's magical Christmas Hands-On Festival for Families

The Christmas interactive festival is a lovingly designed family event full of Christmas magic. The story behind it: Every year shortly before Christmas, Santa Claus invites his Christmas family, friends, and relatives from all over the world to get families and children into the Christmas spirit together.

Visitors will meet many familiar Christmas figures from all over the world – from Santa Claus and St. Nicholas to elves, snowmen, and gingerbread men, as well as other international Christmas characters. In the Walking Act Photo World, these figures come to life, greet the children, walk through the festival, and ensure magical encounters and beautiful souvenir photos.

In addition, families can look forward to the big Christmas participatory show, a cozy St. Nicholas room, the creative elf workshop, a Christmas puppet theater, face painting, and other small surprises. This creates a festive day for singing along, participating, marveling, and experiencing the Christmas season together.

The Christmas participatory festival is suitable for the whole family – from the little ones to the big ones. Children can marvel, sing along, and join in, while parents and grandparents experience special Christmas moments together. The Christmas interactive festival is easily accessible by public transport. The easiest way is to take the S-Bahn line S2 to Dietzenbach Mitte. From there, it's only a few meters to the Capitol Dietzenbach.

You can also travel to Dietzenbach Mitte/Bahnhof or Rathaus by bus. Various lines stop there, including OF-95, OF-96, OF-99, X18, V95, and V96. Please check your best connection in advance via the current RMV timetable information.

Yes, parking is available directly at Capitol Dietzenbach. For visitors arriving by car, there is a large parking lot directly near the entrance.

No, you don't need to bring anything special. The props for the big Christmas interactive show on the North Pole stage will be distributed on-site. This way, the children can sing along, participate, and become part of the show.

Just bring your ticket, good mood, and anticipation for a magical Christmas day. The children are welcome to take the small participatory props home with them afterwards as a souvenir.

Free seating applies to all visitors. Seating is available in the show areas, so families can sit together.

For children, additional gymnastics mats will be laid out at the front during the shows. This is where the little spectators can sit particularly well, dance along, sing along, and actively participate. Chairs and suitable seating options are also available in individual experience areas.

The Christmas participatory festival is divided into two festival slots:

Red Slot: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Green Slot: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

When purchasing tickets, you choose one of the two time slots. Your ticket is then valid for the booked period. Within this slot, you can experience the Christmas participatory show on the North Pole stage, visit the walking act photo world, and discover the various experience areas.

Admission begins promptly before the start of each slot. We recommend arriving a little earlier so you can arrive relaxed and enjoy the full festival time.

Bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted. Baby food is excluded.

Yes. For a small fee, a magical Christmas bakery with many treats and drinks awaits you. There is also a Christmas shop with Christmas accessories such as headbands, hats, cuddly toys, and balloons.

No. However, since we want to get into the pre-Christmas spirit together, we welcome many Christmas outfits of all kinds for young and old.

The festival ticket includes access to the entire festival world within the booked time slot. This includes the big Christmas interactive show on the North Pole stage, the walking act photo world with many well-known Christmas characters from all over the world, the St. Nicholas room, the elf workshop, the Christmas puppet theater, face painting, as well as other small experience areas and surprises.

For the Christmas participatory show, props will also be distributed on-site so that children can actively sing along, dance along, and become part of the show.

You book a fixed time slot for your visit. Slot Red runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Slot Green from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Each ticket is only valid for the booked slot – either Red or Green.
